Under the guidance of the Intern Supervisor, students will have the opportunity to work on mental health campaigns targeted at supporting the recovery of individuals who have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder and their families.
Students will participate in:
• Research and evaluation
• Program planning and development
Students will be given opportunities to network with a broad range of community leaders, including school, faith, law enforcement, public sector staff, concerned residents and other community-based organizations.
Requirements:
• This is an unpaid part-time internship
• Minimum of 3 months, flexible schedule 8-10 hours week, Monday through Friday 9-5
• Opportunities for increased responsibility
• Valid driver’s license, automobile registration, and insurance may be required where travel is necessary
Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship, but intern may be compensated for mileage incurred for offsite activities (if assigned and approved). Interns will also be given ample opportunities to participate in trainings and conferences and network with executives, elected officials, members of the media, law enforcement and school district representatives.
