Apply to be an RA with the Neurocognitive Development Lab!

Research Assistant Positions
Neurocognitive Development Lab

Description:
Interested in cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and working with children? Want experience working with specialized tools like polysomnography (PSG) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)? Dr. Tracy Riggins and the Neurocognitive Development lab are seeking undergraduate research assistants to join us for the Fall 2019 and/or Spring 2020 semester to work on an NIH- and NSF-funded longitudinal study on memory, brain development, and sleep in preschoolers.

Responsibilities:
RAs receive hands-on experience with data collection in participants’ homes, including applying and removing electrodes to child participants, demonstrating tasks and technology for participants, and supervising participants during MRI brain scans.

Positions to begin immediately and/or in the Spring of 2020 are now open. Research experiences such as this add value to a student's graduate school application and provide an opportunity for students to earn a positive letter of recommendation. PSYC479 credit may be available.

How To Apply:
If interested, please email a copy of your resume or CV to Benjamin Weinberg at e11ic0tt@umd.edu to request an application.
