Spring 2019
Research Assistant Positions
Neurocognitive Development Lab
Are you interested in cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and working with children? Want to get experience working with specialized tools like polysomnography (PSG) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)? The Neurocognitive Development lab under Dr. Tracy Riggins is seeking undergraduate RAs to work on an NIH- and NSF-funded longitudinal study on memory, brain development, and sleep in preschoolers (more info HERE).
RAs will assist with a wide variety of tasks including subject recruitment, data collection in participants' homes, brain data analysis and editing, and coding many different types of data.
RA positions to begin in the Spring of 2019 are now open, but applicants who can start sooner are preferred. Research experiences such as this add value to a student's graduate school application and provide an opportunity for students to earn a positive letter of recommendation. PSYC479 credit is also available.
Interested applicants should email their resume to Arcadia Ewell (aewell1@umd.edu) or Benjamin Weinberg (e11ic0tt@umd.edu) to obtain a copy of the lab application.
