Faculty Assistant Position
Laboratory of Crustacean Neurobiology and Behavior
Description:
This paid full time (40h/week) position for a post-baccalaureate will be in the Crustacean Neurobiology & Behavior laboratory in the Department of Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. It requires experimental research (75% of work load), and general lab duties such as ordering animals and supplies, animal care, bookkeeping, and supervising undergraduate students as well as high school students in the lab (25% of work load). The position starts on July 1, 2015 as a one-year position with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding. The appointment is on a 12-month basis at a base salary of $29,000. Benefits are available. A bachelor's degree is required at the beginning of the appointment; research experience, excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, a high level of independence and reliability, as well as strong work ethics are expected from applicants.
