Full-time Research Assistant position with Penn State's Developmental Personality Neuroscience Lab!

The Laboratory for Developmental Personality Neuroscience at Penn State University seeks a full-time research assistant to start in September 2015. 

Description:
The position will focus on implementing NIMH- and PSU-funded studies of  personality dysfunction, emotion dysregulation, and impulsivity in teens and young adults. Research in the lab synthesizes functional neuroimaging, computational modeling, and network analyses to characterize the development of neurobehavioral systems underlying self-regulation and interpersonal functioning. The successful candidate will have ample opportunity to contribute to all aspects of research, including designing/programming experiments, participant recruitment, clinical interviewing, data
management, supervising undergraduate students, and analysis of behavioral
and neuroimaging data. 

Qualifications/Requirements:
Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, cognitive science, computer science, math, or related field is preferred. Prior research or professional experience with adolescents and/or young adults, especially in mental health settings, is preferred. Scientific programming (in R, MATLAB, or Python) will be an important aspect of the position; thus, prior programming experience is desirable.
