Vocational Support Systems, Inc. (VSSI) provides Supported Employment Services to adults with psychiatric disabilities who live in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Supported Employment Services help individuals with psychiatric disabilities gain and maintain competitive employment, which are jobs in the community for which everyone is equally eligible, as opposed to sheltered jobs which are set aside for persons with disabilities. Employment Specialists at Supported Employment Agencies help clients by assisting in the job search/job development process, and if necessary, communicating with the employer regarding specific accommodations needed to work. Job coaching and general assistance are provided to clients to deal with work-related issues.
