A winning speech will:
-Emphasize experiences unique to the University of Maryland and the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences
-Have a clear theme
-Be well-written
-Be delivered in 4-5 minutes
The selected student speaker(s) will get to deliver their message to students, faculty, and guests at their assigned BSOS Commencement Ceremony, as well as play a prominent role in the ceremony’s procession. During the ceremony, the student speaker(s) will sit on stage with Dean Susan Rivera and other college leadership and will receive reserved special seating for family and guests.
Eligibility:
-Have a clear theme
-Be well-written
-Be delivered in 4-5 minutes

-A GPA of at least 3.50
