This award is in memory of Thelma Boyd-Nash and Dorothy Ginter, teachers and pioneers in the League of Women Voters of Prince George’s County Maryland.
Criteria:
· Must be a Prince Georges County Resident.
· Two (2) letters of reference, one of which has to be of applicants service to an organization.
· The applicant must submit a typed, double –spaced essay of 450-500 words on why voting is important and how it affects our society.
· Must have a grade point average of 2.5.or above.
· High school attended and college enrolled in.

· A current copy of applicant’s transcript or latest report card.
