BSOS Summer Research Initiative
Supports underrepresented minority students who are preparing to apply to PhD programs in the future and who wish to undertake an independent, on-campus mentored research project in summer 2023 as part of a residential cohort. Admitted students receive a summer stipend, room/board during this summer research program. Proposals are due February 10, 2023. Learn more about SRI on the undergraduate blog.
BSOS Summer Scholars
BSOS Summer Scholars supports individual or group undergraduate summer research projects in any behavioral and social sciences discipline in the summer ($3000 stipend). Proposals are due February 22, 2023. Students may submit an application via InfoReady.
Maryland Summer Scholars
Maryland Summer Scholars supports individual or group undergraduate summer research projects in any discipline. Stipends normally $3000 but may be higher if travel is involved. Proposals are due on February 13, 2023. Students may submit an application here.
Students are encouraged to apply for both Maryland Summer Scholars and BSOS Summer Scholars, but cannot be awarded both.
