Frostburg State University’s Master of Science Counseling Psychology program prepares students to work in the field of mental health as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC.) Our program is affordable, accredited by the Master’s in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC) and built upon empirically supported counseling techniques, with an emphasis on cultural responsiveness. Considerable attention is given to both the acquisition of counseling skills and the professional development of the student. We offer small classes with individualized attention from faculty. Two emphases are offered: Addictions and Child and Family. The program also includes a one-year internship where you will gain up to 1,000 hours of supervised clinical field experience.
