Full-Time Research Assistant Position with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia!

The Project: 
This research project is funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). The goal of the project is to learn if it makes sense to integrate behavior therapy into primary care practice to treat children with ADHD. In this study we will compare two approaches to care for families of a child with ADHD that are commonly used and well-accepted: (1) an enhanced behavior therapy called PASS (Partnering to Achieve School Success) and (2) usual care. The study includes families of children (ages 5-11) with ADHD, their primary care doctors, behavioral health providers, and their teachers. 

Description: 
You will be part of a research team consisting of clinical and school psychologists, post-doctoral fellows, research staff, and students. Your experience will include working both on-site at the Roberts Center for Pediatric Research and off-site at participating primary care sites. Your responsibilities will include assisting in day-today office-based activities, helping to engage children during data collection, and collecting data from parents, children, and teachers. All research tasks are supervised by licensed psychologists and/or full-time research staff. The position provides an exciting opportunity and experience for individuals interested in pursuing advanced graduate degrees in school psychology, clinical psychology, health psychology, or related fields Research Assistant Daily 

Responsibilities: 
• Consent research participants (parents, children and teachers) 
• Assist research staff with data collection, entry, and management (using Microsoft Excel and REDCap) 
• Assist with listening to and coding audio recordings of behavior therapy sessions 
• Assist with child engagement and activities during data collection and/or intervention activities 
• Assemble materials & supplies for intervention sessions 
• Attend weekly research team meetings 

Successful candidates for this position will: 
• Be highly reliable and have excellent organizational and time management skills 
• Have a passion for social justice/diversity and inclusion research 
• Have a strong work ethic and be a team player 
• Pass a criminal background check, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprinting per CHOP’s requirements 
• Have up to date immunization records and complete a 2-step PPD skin test to screen for tuberculosis
