Applied Undergraduate Experience: Spanish Translator Wanted!

UMD I/O Psychology Master's Program  

Description:
The UMD Industrial-Organizational Psychology master’s program is presently working on a consulting project for Clark Construction to help them understand employee motivation, employee values, and safety behaviors. Clark is a large organization that operates nationwide, and this project will have long-reaching benefits to its employees. The graduate student consulting group needs your help! As part of this project, they are conducting focus groups with Clark employees, who are primarily Spanish-speaking. They'd like to recruit an undergraduate volunteer to assist with running the focus groups by serving as a translator. The graduate student consulting group is volunteering their time and skills, so this would be a volunteer opportunity for the undergraduate student as well.

Responsibilities: 
-Attend focus group meetings
-Translate questions for participants
-Translate responses for Consulting Group
-Ability to commit about 90 minutes per focus group meeting

Qualifications:
-Fluent in Spanish (both speaking and writing)
-Ability to travel
-Interested in attending an I/O psychology or business graduate program preferred
