The Woodlawn Project at the University of Maryland School of Public Health has several openings for paid research assistants for a study on the health and wellbeing of a cohort of African American adults. This large-scale, NIH-funded study has been ongoing since 1966, and we are now contacting approximately 1,000 study participants to complete an Age 62 telephone interview. The project is led by Dr. Kerry Green. We are looking for motivated, responsible, detail-oriented students who can commit to working with us through December 2022.The positions are open to both undergraduate and graduate students. The position is paid, but tuition remission is not provided. This job requires some work in person at the School of Public Health (i.e., is not fully remote). The position would be approximately 15 hours per week starting in late May 2022. Scheduling is flexible but would require some hours during the workday.
Responsibilities:
Locating study participantsCompleting 90-minute phone interviews
Engaging in continuous quality assurance meetings/trainings
Approximately 15 hours per week
Qualifications:
Motivated, responsible, detail-oriented students
Research assistants must be very comfortable making phone calls
Open to both undergraduate and graduate students at UMD
