The Ph.D. program of Health Psychology and Clinical Science (HPCS) at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York seeks promising underrepresented or minority students to apply for admission. HPCS is committed to bringing the knowledge of health and clinical psychologies to bear on understanding and addressing poor mental and physical health with sensitivity to the intersectionality of identities and lived experience. HPCS was founded in 2013 and received accreditation “on contingency” by APA in 2019. In spite of our youth as a program, we are thriving with 24 current doctoral students, 14 faculty members, and many federal grants to examine a wide array of issues within psychopathology and health psychology.
