South Asian Student Association Combating
Anti-Blackness Virtual Event
The South Asian Student Association (SASA), is hosting a virtual event on Thursday, June 18th from 6:30-8:00pm to provide a space for 3 South Asian activists to discuss how South Asians can best address and combat anti-Blackness within our own community. There will be a Q&A portion for questions that anyone may have (as well as asking questions in real time during the activists' conversation). You RSVP to get the event link.
SASA is also raising funds for the African American Policy Forum, a non-profit that aims to connect academics, activists, and policy-makers to promote efforts to dismantle structural inequality. This organization utilizes a think tank atmosphere to create new ideas and innovative perspectives to address the racial injustices present in our society and transform the public policies that have not served marginalized communities.
