PSYC 303 Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Description:
PSYC Advisor Alexis Foley is looking for an undergraduate teaching assistant for the Fall 2020 PSYC303, Professional Development for Psychology majors course. This position would require approximately 5-9 hours of work per week and can be for course credit http://psychology.umd.edu/sites/psyc.umd.edu/files/PSYC_478_Instructions.pdf). If this will be your first time serving as a TA you will concurrently enroll in TLTC333 (1-credit) as part of the Academic Peer Mentor program while serving as a TA. Responsibilities:
-Some online grading of assignments
-Posting weekly announcements
-Identifying professional development opportunities to share with students
-Grade entry
-Aiding in managing the course's website
-Option of hosting an online professional-development related webinar as a developmental opportunity; other projects available based on learning desires and goals
-Attend weekly meetings with the professor

Qualifications:
-Must have taken PSYC 303 previously and received a grade of A- or higher
-Eligibility for an additional 1-4 credits for Fall 2020 semester
-Must be free to meet weekly with the professor beginning mid-July
