This course will explore the following questions: How does memory work? Why do we sleep? How does the brain regulate pain? What do gut bacteria have to do with depression and Parkinson's disease? How does the brain change from birth to adulthood? How does the brain control complex movements?
This new course is PSYC 309U and is open to all students who have an AP or college-level biology course.
Instructor: Dr. David Yager who has taught undergraduate seminar, lecture, and lab courses in neuroscience for over 20 years and is a recipient of the BSOS Excellence in Teaching Award.
