or educational psychology? Do you need hands-on research experience in a laboratory setting? Apply today to be a research assistant for Dr. Kelly Mix at the Learning and Cognition Lab. Research assistants will be travelling to local schools in HCPSS and PGCPS to test elementary school children on their development of place value concepts. In addition to gathering experience interacting with school personnel and young children, RAs will also be organizing and entering the collected data during the Spring 2018 semester to earn 3 credits of EDHD498. Responsibilities:
-Traveling to schools to conduct tests with elementary aged children
-Help with filing/organizing lab materials
-Assist with data entry
Qualifications:
-Must be a psychology major, human development minor, or any related major
-Must have a 3.5 GPA or higher
-Detail oriented, organized, and strong communication skills
-Must have 10 hours/week of availability, including Fridays 9-1 during the spring semester (preferred)
-Having a car is preferred, but not required
