Are you interested in cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and working with children? The Neurocognitive Development lab run by Dr. Tracy Riggins is seeking undergraduate RAs to begin the Fall of 2018 to assist with our research on memory, brain development, and sleep in childhood. RAs will assist with participant recruitment, data collection and analysis for projects that include a variety of methodologies including PSG, MRI, and behavioral tasks.
Research experiences such as this can add value to a student's graduate school application and provide an opportunity for students to earn a positive letter of recommendation. Credit for PSYC479 is also available for those interested.
Responsibilities:
-At least 6 hrs/week are required to receive PSYC479 credit
-Participant recruitment
-Assist with fMRI study visits
-Opportunity to assist with data collection at subject home visits
-Data entry
-Data collection
-Data organization
-Opportunity to perform data analysis
-Attend weekly lab meetings
Qualifications:
-A two-semester commitment is required (can include winter/summer semesters)
-Minimum 3.3 GPA
-Experience working with children
-Interest in developmental neuroscience
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Some weekend or evening availability is ideal
