Summer Research Assistant Positions

Description:
The Culture Lab (director Michele Gelfand) is looking for motivated and hardworking research assistants for the upcoming summer. The Culture Lab, within the Social Decision Making and Organizational Science program of psychology department, has a very board interest, including cultural norms and cultural values, negotiation, conflict, revenge, and forgiveness. The lab works with computer scientists, neuroscientists and political scientists. If hired, research assistants will have the opportunity to work on several social and cross-cultural projects that investigate the psychological and neural basis of people social behavior. All RAs will be trained in high-level research skills, including experimental design, data coding and analysis. In addition, these positions offer an amazing research opportunity for people who want to learn knowledge about cross-cultural and social neuroscience research, earn experience in highly interdisciplinary field and improve writing skills.

Responsibilities:
-Minimum 6-8 hours per week
-Data Coding and Analysis
-Literature reviews
-Writing
-Prepare experimental stimuli

Qualifications:
-Minimum 3.0 GPA
-Personal interest in psychology, social sciences, neuroscience
-Excellent writing skills
-Experience with MATLAB, Python, SPSS, or R (preferred but not necessary)
Chinese (preferred for specific project but not necessary)
