The mission of A Wider Circle is simple: to end poverty for one individual and one family after another. The organizations works in partnership with those they serve and with those seeking to help to ensure that every child and adult has the chance to succeed and the opportunity to live well.
A Wider Circle is offering one-year fellowships that begin June 6 and provide both work and educational experience. Fellows can focus on Direct Services, Community Outreach or Management. These fellowships are a great opportunity for recent graduates to learn more about poverty while gaining experience working for a nonprofit organization. Fellows will participate in a three-hour poverty workshop each quarter and will complete a year-long project focused on poverty.
Fellowships are available to those who have received their Bachelor's degree within the last two years (2014-2016) or those who have received a graduate degree within the past year (2015 or 2016). Undergraduate fellows will receive a stipend of $35,000 for the year, while graduate fellows will receive a stipend of $40,000 for the year.
