Virtual Mentoring Hour

The APAGS-CARED virtual mentoring hour is for undergraduate students of color or those who will be applying to PhD/PsyD programs in clinical, counseling, and school psychology programs.
The goal of this online meeting is to provide information about how to choose a multiculturally-friendly doctoral program, especially with regard to race and ethnicity.
Participants will:
- Learn about program considerations that are salient to students of color (e.g., geography, culture, and climate)
- Increase awareness about different types of psychology programs, admissions criteria, and opportunities to study multicultural issues
- Have the opportunity to ask questions to current graduate student of color; and
- Begin networking with other students of color that share similar advanced degree interests and career paths in the field of psychology.
