Research Assistants
Language Department Lab
Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences
Description:
The Language Development Laboratory (HESP) is looking for a few volunteers to assist in data collection of children with sports concussions beginning in Summer and through Fall and Spring semester. There are three sites where we will be collecting data in Anne Arundel county, with full work-day hours (approximately 9-5) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This is a great opportunity for clinically-oriented students to experience a patient care environment first-hand and work directly with student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
During the week, students will drive into the Anne Arundel region and go to their respective testing sites. Students are responsible for overseeing all of the testing on our task going on during their time at the site, and uploading the data as needed.
Requirements:
Each student must have access to their own vehicle. Students must have at least 2 contiguous hours available on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Longer times are preferred due to the logistics of getting to the site and preparation. Students should feel comfortable working independently, responsibly handling patient information, and reporting back about progress on a
weekly basis.
weekly basis.
How To Apply:
Interested students should contact Melissa Stockbridge at melissadawn.stockbridge@gmail.com for more information on the application process.
