Associate Therapist Position

Little Leaves is an organization dedicated to helping people with social, communication, and behavioral challenges grow and succeed so that they can participate as fully as possible in their families and communities. Using evidenced-based practices based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our professionals partner with each family to develop and implement an individualized therapeutic plan. We also help families coordinate the logistics of therapy so that they can focus their time on what really matters – caring for their children. We currently work with children in their homes, day cares, and schools throughout the metro Washington DC area (Northern Virginia, Maryland, and DC).
Responsibilities:
-Work consistently as part of a team to ensure that clients receive the highest quality therapy
-Implement individualized ABA programs in client’s homes, schools, and/or community.
-Follow specific protocol for each client
-Collect data throughout each session in a timely and efficient manner
-Report client progress to supervisor
-Attend periodic team meetings for each client
-Participate in introductory and ongoing training programs that provide instruction in ABA
-Keep therapy appointments as per schedule . Be punctual and responsible when managing client schedule throughout the week.
-Able to commit at least 10 hours per week
Qualifications:
-A commitment and enthusiasm to helping children and families.
-At least junior status
-Experience working with children with special needs, e.g., autism or developmental delays (at least 1 year experience preferred)
-Ability to follow in structional guidance and to follow A BA curriculum plan
-Ability to interact well with children, families and colleagues
-Ability to work collaboratively as a therapy team member
-Ability to work well independently and seek assistance when needed
-Possess strong attention to detail for data collection
-Able to maintain client confidentiality
-Reliable transportation
