Part-Time Associate Therapist Position

Description:
Associate therapists are critical members of a child’s therapy team. They deliver the majority of a child’s individualized therapy hours based on the plans and protocols developed by the Clinical Coordinator, and collect data on a child’s progress. Therapy is delivered in-home and we have clients in the College Park, Bowie, Silver Spring, and NW DC areas. This is a great role for someone who plans to enter the fields of early childhood education or psychology to get experience working with children with Autism and other behavioral challenges.
Qualifications:
-Bachelors or Associates (or the equivalent credit hours) in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or related field, required
-Experience working with children with special needs, e.g., autism or developmental delays (at least 1 year experience preferred)
-Ability to follow instructional guidance and to follow ABA curriculum plan
-Ability to interact well with children, families and colleagues
-Ability to work collaboratively as a therapy team member
-Ability to work well independently and seek assistance when needed
-Possess strong attention to detail for data collection
-Organized, flexible and willing to take constructive feedback and apply it to improve the quality of programming and one’s own professional development
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Able to maintain client confidentiality
-Record of success in previous positions as evidenced by excellent references
-Technologically adept and enthusiastic
-Reliable transportation
