Description:
The Mood Disorders Institute at Binghamton University is seeking a full-time Research Assistant. This is a full-time grant funded Research Assistant position to assist with two NIH-Funded Studies. The first study is an NICHD-funded prospective, longitudinal study examining cognitive, genetic, and environmental risk factors for the inter-generational transmission of depression in 250 depressed and non-depressed mothers. The second study is an NIMH Funded Research Domain Criteria Study of 1,000 children examining genetic, epigenetic, and environmental influences on children's attentional biases for emotional stimuli. Salary is $30,000 per year plus health benefits.
Responsibilities:
-Coordinate participant recruitment
-Prepare study materials and participant assessments
-Database Management
-Co-author scientific papers and journal articles
Qualifications:
-BA or BS in psychology or other field
-Experience with ERP, psycho-physiological assessments, or structured diagnostic interviewing
-Conscientious work style and strong interpersonal skills
