Paid 2026 Undergraduate Student Internship

The Mental Health Coalition (MHC) at the University of Maryland brings together University ofMaryland students and staff from across campus who share a passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to furthering the mental health and well-being of our community.
 

The Coalition provides collaborative leadership in fostering a culture of mental health and wellness inclusive to the entire campus community through broad communication, campus-wide programming, and advocacy.
 
The Coalition is looking to hire one undergraduate student intern starting Summer 2026. This is a PAID position. Intern will receive $15/hour with a maximum of 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
-Manage MHC social media accounts and serve as a liaison for social media communications to the MHC.
-Serve on the MHC Steering Committee to assess and direct projects within the Coalition.
-Develop or implement projects and initiatives related to mental health programming and communications, student engagement, and graphic design.
-Attend all MHC General Body and Action Meetings (Held Bi-Weekly, in person and virtual).

Qualifications/Requirements: 
-Interns must express interest and attend at least one MHC general body meeting before the end of the application process.
-Must be enrolled full-time in good standing at the University of Maryland through the 2026-2027 academic year.
-Minimum 2 semesters of eligibility required; preference for 4+ semesters.
-Weekly Wednesday availability (3-4P).
P-roficiency with social media, Canva, and Google Suite.
-Strong verbal/written communication skills, time management, and organization.

Review of applications will begin in March. Considered applicants will be notified two weeks after the deadline.
