Clinical Research Volunteer Positions with Children's National

The 3Ms – Learn T1D with Black Families Intervention study 
at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. is looking for two clinical research volunteers to help with data collection. The 3M (Meals, monitoring, and medication) intervention is a proposed mobile health intervention to measure and improve diabetes health outcomes in Black adolescence and youth. This study will focus on Black identifying youth, aged 10-15 years old, who have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities/Requirements: 
-1-year commitment
-10 hours a week in-person at DC or PG county location
-Attending weekly team meetings, estimated on Friday mornings via zoom.
-Attending once-a-month Behavioral Research Team Meetings virtually, first Wednesday of the month.
-Participating in data collection visits to obtain research data related to the intervention.

Qualifications:
-A person with experience or exposure to lived experience, cultural competency, and humility.
-Someone open to doing home visits in the area in the afternoon (A car is not necessary).
-Demonstrated writing and editing skills, particularly in Microsoft office. Experience with RedCap or similar data base preferred.
-Someone interested in psychology and clinical research. (No prior experience required).
