UMD I/O Psychology Master's Program Application Deadline Extended To 4/25

University of Maryland Industrial/Organizational Psychology Master's Program

Due to an increased interest in our Fall cohort we have re-opened the application portal and will be accepting applications until 4/25. We hope that this deadline extension will allow you to submit your application for our upcoming hybrid cohort.

Our program is designed to offer a solid foundation in I/O psychology, statistics, and business acumen, preparing students for applied practice in the field or further study in an applied doctoral degree. In addition to providing high levels of rigorous academic training, the UMD I/O Master's program provides hands-on practical experiences, and career guidance while meeting the needs of students and working professionals. The program is completed in 15 months over the course of five terms. Students complete two classes per term in a hybrid format with live classes on Mondays from 5-8pm.

Our graduates go on to work in highly respected organizations, such as Booz Allen Hamilton, Kincentric, Qualtrics, Capital One, Adobe, Johns Hopkins Hospital, New Balance, Marriott International, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Pew Research Center, US Department of Defense, and many more. Over 98% of our graduates are employed within 6 months of graduating.

The career paths of UMD I/O graduates include: Organizational Change & Development: guide change initiatives, improve team dynamics, and evaluate organizational culture

-Training & Development: conduct needs assessments, develop training programs, program evaluation, leadership coaching, mentorship programs
-Selection & Assessments: conduct job analyses, develop selection assessments, validate selection tools
