Rainbow Room Focus Group Interest Check
https://forms.gle/tBfsvoo8fvxWKgLaA
Rainbow Room was a space first introduced in 2017 by the Department of Psychology that aimed to provide a place where LGBTQIA+ undergraduate student and allies could come together to "build community, de-stress, and have a good time." Rainbow Room was a largely unstructured group that afforded students the opportunity to collaboratively decide on how they wanted to spend the time; some days were spent discussing identity, while others were spent simply enjoying snacks and light conversation together. We believe that regardless of the day’s topic, there is power in just showing up and occupying a physical space alongside others who share and appreciate your identities.
We are excited to share that Rainbow Room will be making a return to the Department of Psychology during the Spring 2025 semester, and we'd like YOUR voice to be represented in the revival of this space. Our team (Jose Lima Rosas, Brittany Carpenter, and Nel Odike) is putting together a focus group to help inform how this space can best fit your needs and what you would like to see out of it.
