Full-time Post-bacc Research Coordinator Position for ADHD in Families Study

The UMD ADHD Program is seeking a full-time Faculty Specialist (Research Coordinator) with a
strong foundation in interventions research to begin in the summer of 2024 (ASAP). The Faculty Specialist will be primarily involved with the ADHD in Families Study (NIMH Collaborative R01 grant), a collaboration between the University of Maryland and Children’s National Hospital (PI: Dr. Andrea Chronis-Tuscano). The primary focus of this clinical trial is to test the comparative effectiveness of two different treatment strategies for parents who have ADHD and their young children with ADHD, using a hybrid effectiveness-implementation design. This is a one-year position (with the possibility of renewal for additional years, pending funding). Start date is early Summer 2024.

Responsibilities include:
o Weekly visits to pediatric primary care clinics for liaison with community partners and recruitment of participants
o Forming and maintaining relationships with primary care clinics/community stakeholders
o Scheduling and facilitating study assessments with families and members of the research team (i.e., psychologists, psychiatrists)
o Administering assessments with families and stakeholder members
o Facilitating regulatory activities (i.e., IRB, NIH reports)
o Data entry, management and processing in REDCAP and SPSS.

Necessary qualifications include: 1) a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field; 2) clinical research experience, preferably with interventions research; 3) proficiency with REDCAP and SPSS; 4) excellent organizational and communication skills within a multidisciplinary team; 5) comfortable driving/commuting in and around D.C.; 6) excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with building and facilitating community partnerships including in urban pediatric offices.
