Academic Advisor, Jose Lima Rosas to the Department of Psychology.
Academic Advisor, Jose Lima Rosas to the Department of Psychology.
Jose will provide general, graduate school and career advising to students, teach PSYC 303: Professional Development for Psychology Majors.
Prior to joining the department as an advisor, Jose received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Maryland. As an undergraduate, Jose was involved in the Multicultural Association of Psychology Students (MAPS), served on the Department of Psychology's Diversity Committee, worked as an Undergraduate Program Manager, and spearheaded the creation of the department's Rainbow Room drop-in space. He was also the 2018 Mark S. Harper Award recipient.
After graduating, Jose was a graduate student in Counseling Psychology from 2018 to 2021. He then worked as a Program Manager at Spark the Journey, a DC based nonprofit that provides mentoring to high school and post-secondary students. The Psychology Department Community is excited to welcome him back home as a PSYC Terp!
