PSYC Community Spaces and Activities To Honor Amari Seldon

Dear PSYC Students,

We continue to process the sudden and tragic loss 
of a beloved member of our PSYC Terp Community,Amari Seldon. Many in our community are in shock and grief. Our hearts are with Amari’s family, friends, and classmates, as well as every member of the PSYC Terp community. We would like to offer a few resources and opportunities for our family of PSYC Terps as we navigate this tragedy.

Monday, Oct 30

Hornbake Plaza

Join members of the Department of Psychology on Hornbake Plaza for a moment of silence for Amari Seldon.

Wed, Nov 1

5pm to 6pm

BPS 1140

This will be an informal opportunity to be in community with PSYC students and faculty. There will be food, a chance to make cards or write letters to Amari or his family, and to talk with one another.

Nov 15

Noon to 1pm

BRB courtyard

Coffee in the Courtyard honoring Amari’s love for the game of chess. Learn to play chess or teach your fellow PSYC Terps how to play.

Friday, Oct 27, Monday- Friday Oct 30

Stop by the PSYC Advising Office on Fri, Oct 27, or any day Monday, Oct 30-Friday Nov 3 between 12pm and 2pm to create a card, write a note, or letter with a favorite memory for Amari or his family. Art supplies will be available in BPS 1141Z.
