Spring 2025 Research Assistant Positions with The Early Childhood Interaction Lab

The Early Childhood Interaction Lab, directed by Dr. Geetha Ramani, seeking bright and motivated volunteer undergraduate 
research assistants for Spring 2025. Students will assist with data collection for studies evaluating online interventions designed to improve math and working memory skills in young children.

The Early Childhood Interaction Lab, directed by Dr. Geetha Ramani, seeking bright and motivated volunteer undergraduate research assistants for Spring 2025. Students will assist with data collection for studies evaluating online interventions designed to improve math and working memory skills in young children (ages 3-5). We also have four other ongoing projects with opportunities for Spanish-speakers and in-person data collection as well

Research in the Early Childhood Interaction Lab focuses on understanding how young children's social interactions and play influences early math learning. We also examine factors that influence math development, such as language, social, and cognitive skills.

Undergraduate research assistants are a highly valued part of the ECI Lab and have opportunities to experience all aspects of the research process. This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking research experience in preparation for graduate school!

Responsibilities: 
-Assist with subject recruitment
-Data entry in Excel and SPSS
-Transcription of video-recorded interactions
-Can commit to at least two semester with the lab (Spring and Summer preferred)
-Must be willing to commit 6-9 hours 

Qualifications: 
-Prior research experience preferred
-Experience working with young children and diverse populations is preferred
