directed by Dr. Yi Ting Huang, invites applications for a full-time Project Manager for a NSF-funded project on how language experience across socioeconomic status impacts children’s language processing. The Project Manager will help recruit schools and families to enroll in research, develop systems to train undergraduates research assistants to code process data (e.g., transcribe parental speech, code parent interviews, code eye-tracking videos), and run preliminary analyses on data themselves.

This is a fully in-person position, with driving required for on-site recruitment. This role requires an individual with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to track high-level project goals and contribute to relevant action plans, and documented experience with managing multiple teams of varying sizes (from 3-15 people). A successful applicant will work autonomously and collaboratively and have the flexibility to grow and adapt as the project’s needs change. A bachelor’s degree is required. This position also provides opportunities to be involved in a rich intellectual community at the Maryland Language Science Center (https://languagescience.umd.edu/) and to co-author presentations and publications from this research.
