Fall 2024 Research Assistant Position with The Diversity and Intergroup Relations Lab! Application Deadline is 4/12.


The Diversity and Intergroup Relations Lab is seeking a research assistant to begin in the Fall
2024 Semester. 

RAs will assist the Principal Investigator (Dr. Linda Zou) and other lab members with various tasks related to studying how social contexts affect intergroup attitudes and behavior, particularly among racial and ethnic groups. Our research seeks to confront the causes and consequences of stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination using social psychological theory and experimental methods, while integrating insights from other disciplines (e.g., sociology, political science). Research Assistants will have the opportunity to gain experience with statistical analysis in SPSS, lead an independent research project under the mentorship of the PI, gain experience with applying for and presenting conference posters, and receive career advice and assistance with the graduate school application process.

-Reviewing Literature
-Preparing Stimuli
-Coding Data
-Data Analysis
-Recruiting Subjects
-Running Subjects

Qualifications:
-Must be in good academic standing with the University
-Able to commit to at least 3 hours per week.
-Able to commit to at least 2 semesters.
-Interested in intergroup relations, diversity, stereotyping, racial inequality, or related areas
