Post-Bac Lab Manager Position!

The University of Maryland Early Childhood Interaction Lab
directed by Dr. Geetha Ramani and the Translational Research in Instruction, Intervention, and Implementation Lab, directed by Dr. Jason Chow, are seeking a bright, energetic, and motivated lab manager (40-hours a week plus benefits) starting Fall 2022. This is a joint position in two, dynamic, and productive research labs in the College of Education. Research in the ECI Lab focuses on understanding the development of children's cognitive development. The lab specifically focuses on examining how social interactions, play, and informal learning activities promote children’s mathematical and executive functioning development. Research in the TRILAB focuses on translational and developmental research in language, social, and behavioral development, implementation and sustainability of evidence-based practices, interprofessional collaboration and professional development, and supporting context-aware learning environments.

Responsibilities:
-Data collection in local schools and virtually
-Participant and school recruitment
-Coding for systematic reviews and meta-analyses
-Preparation and management of IRB protocols
-Data entry and database management
-Transcription of video-recorded interactions
-Supervise undergraduate research assistants
-General upkeep of the lab and lab website

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human development, public health, education, or related field
-Access to a car for traveling to schools for data collection
-Availability to work during school hours
-Preference will be given to applicants with previous research experience or prior experience working with children
