Behavior Data Specialist Position
Work with infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of feeding issues including food  
refusal and problem behavior at mealtimes. The Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program (PFDP) in Baltimore, Maryland, is one of the leading programs in the nation designed to treat feeding
disorders. The PFDP is an interdisciplinary program which offers the
opportunity to work closely with other disciplines. The Behavioral Psychology aspect of the program follows a behavior analytic model of
assessment and treatment of pediatric food refusal. As a Behavior Data
Specialist, you would learn assessment procedures including descriptive and
functional analyses as well as common treatments for food refusal (e.g.,
escape extinction, differential reinforcement, and noncontingent
reinforcement).

A bachelor’s degree is psychology or related field is required but
applicants looking for post-graduation employment should apply.

As a Clinical Assistant, you would provide direct care and supervision of
patients admitted to the Feeding Program; implement written
behavioral and educational protocols; and collect paper/pencil data on
patient- specific target behaviors. You will also implement patient’s
daily schedule of unit activities and engage patients even during times
of unscheduled specific activity.

We emphasize generalization of treatment plans to the home setting
post-discharge, thus all staff will gain experience in caregiver training.

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required but applicants
looking for pre-graduation employment should apply.
