Description: Seeking a part-time (~10 hours per week, $15/hour) recruitment coordinator for a set of behavioral and neural (MEG) studies on language production in both typical participants and individuals with language impairments following stroke. The position will support a collaboration between the Aphasia Research Center and the Language and Music Cognition Lab. at UMD, and is ideal for someone with a strong interest in how people produce and understand language and how these processes can break down following brain damage, and who enjoys interacting with members of the broader community.
Responsibilities:
-outreach to community centers and health fairs
-traveling to give community-focused presentations
-social media outreach
-scheduling participants and coordinating with other researchers
-occasional data collection/screening
-Note: requires in-person work (following UMD protocols)
Qualifications:
-3.0+ GPA
-Detail oriented
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively
-Access to transportation
-Strong people skills
