Join a team of four professionals who provide 24/7 support to an amazing young man with autism!
A fun, energetic, and music-loving young man needs staff to instruct or support him with:
• Household chores (cleaning, grocery, etc.)
• Meal prep
• Limited personal care
• Recreational and social activities
Schedule:
• About 8 - 15 hours/week
• Current needs: Early morning shifts (starting at 8:00 AM), late afternoon shifts (starting about 5:00 PM) and weekends (flexible)
Starting salary: +/- $20/hour, based on experience
Location: Downtown Silver Spring (~ 10-minute walk from Metro)
Ideal candidate has:
-Sense of humor, patience, enthusiasm
-At least one-year experience in special education or working with people with disabilities (esp. autism) in the community
-Authorization to work in U.S.
For PM/weekend shifts, reliable vehicle and driving credentials. Mileage is reimbursed.
Prior to start, successful applicant must become certified in First Aid and CPR. On-line training is
acceptable and cost is reimbursed.
