The Center for Young Children, a lab school for children ages 3-6 years old and part of the College of Education at the University of Maryland, is currently recruiting student aides to begin work in the Spring 2022 semester. Student aides at the Center for Young Children are an integral part of our community, providing classroom support throughout the day, helping to maintain routines and schedules, and meaningfully engaging with children as they play and learn.
Aides are scheduled for work shifts according to their availability and CYC’s needs. These shifts remain consistent throughout the semester. Prior work experience with children is preferred. Varied orientation experiences are provided as introduction to the aide role.
