addictions service and treatment organizations. The Intern will work directly with the Manager, Communications to conduct research, create written products, and contribute to general project management and support for a variety of projects, goals and strategies for the Marketing and Communications team. The National Council Marketing and Communications team supports a wide array of projects across the organization, including Practice Improvement and Consulting, Policy, Mental Health First Aid and more. We seek an individual with a passion for marketing and communications and an interest to learn.
Job Requirements:
· Any combination of education and experience that shows experience in marketing and communications.
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook).
· Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
· Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
· Strong work ethic with an enthusiastic, positive attitude, and the highest level of integrity.

INTERN, PRACTICE IMPROVEMENT & CONSULTINGResponsibilities:
The Intern, Practice Improvement & Consulting, will work directly with a practice area leader to conduct research, create written products, and contribute to departmental projects focused on improving clinical, financial, and operational practices within community behavioral health and other points of care. Examples of past intern projects and responsibilities include: literature reviews on evidence-based practices in behavioral health such as Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT); project summaries for our website and proposals for additional work; and survey reports which articulate practice challenges for policymakers and other external audiences.
The Practice Improvement & Consulting Department is organized into six practice areas: Health Equity; Health Care Delivery & Financing; Integrated Care; Mental Health & Substance Use; Leadership & Workforce Development; and Trauma & Resiliency. Based on need, the Intern, Practice Improvement & Consulting will span across these practice areas to conduct research and support project management of active initiatives.
