Two full-time Post-Bac Positions @ Georgetown!

Looking for research experience before applying to graduate school or medical school? Join our team to
work on NIH-funded behavioral research studies with parents, children, teens, and young adults surrounding cancer.

We are hiring up to 2 full-time paid staff positions with a competitive benefits package. If you are
interested in health and looking for ways to prepare for graduate, public health, nursing, or medical
school, then consider becoming part of a collaborative clinical and community research team under
the supervision of Dr. Kenneth Tercyak at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Job Responsibilities Include:
● Assisting with the development and implementation of health and behavior research studies
● Coordinating clinical intervention trials, including scheduling and tracking participant
recruitment, retention, and follow-up completion
● Recruiting and enrolling online and community participants (e-data collection)
● Data entry/management/processing
● Training and supervising undergraduate volunteers and delegating lab responsibilities
● Assisting with editing scholarly works
● Collaborating with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to maintain research compliance
● Initiating and overseeing contractual agreements with study vendors
Research Opportunities Offered:
● Experience with prospective, clinical, community, and online research studies with potential
for presentations and publications
● Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals from a range of disciplines
● Excellent preparation for graduate school in psychology, public health, nursing, or medicine

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (by time of start) with interest in and/prior experience with clinical (human
subjects) research; One-year minimum commitment, with option of longer-term position; Evening
hours for study telephone calls.

Additional Recommended Qualifications:
Knowledge of, and experience in working with, IRBs; Experience using data processing and
statistical software (e.g. REDCap, Microsoft Excel, SPSS); Experience working in clinical and
community settings, advanced coursework in social/behavioral science.

Salary commensurate with experience.
