NYU Quest Program for students interested in pursuing a Doctoral Degree!

Quality Undergraduate Education and Scholarly Training (Q.U.E.S.T.), is an 8-week, program for rising seniors or recent graduates interested in pursuing a doctoral degree in applied psychology and closely related fields. The program involves graduate school application prep, research mentorship, and academic career exploration. This program is at no cost to students.  

Eligibility/Criteria:
QUEST applicants are students who:
-Will be rising college seniors or recent college graduates
-Have demonstrated a strong academic potential
-Are majoring or minoring in psychology or a closely related field and desire to obtain a doctoral degree in the field of social sciences

Application Requirements:
-Résumé/CV You are required to upload a copy of your most recent résumé or curriculum vitae as part of your application.
-Short Answer Questions There are several questions related to your previous involvement in research, your research interests, academic accomplishments, and career/professional goals.
-Letters of Recommendation Submit one or two letters of recommendation. Be sure to request them well in advance of the deadline.
-Transcripts Upload one unofficial copy of transcripts from every postsecondary school you have attended or are attending.

Application Instructions:
Please note applications will not be open until December 1, 2020

1. To start your application, fill out the QUEST Application Creation Form. In this form, you will be asked to provide some basic information such as name, date of birth, and email, in order to create your account in our application system.

2. Upon submission of the Application Creation Form, you will receive an email containing a temporary PIN and instructions for finalizing your account setup. Please follow these steps carefully.
3. To resume your application, log into the Application Management page, and proceed through the application. Please pay close attention to the information on the Instructions page for guidelines regarding submission of the application and any required supplemental documents.

4. After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email. Within a few days, you will receive a second email containing your NYU credentials and instructions for accessing your applicant portal, where you can check the status of your application and any missing documents.
Applications and Decision Deadlines:

All materials are due by March 1, 2021

Notification Timeline:
April 6th, 2021 applicants will be notified of admittance, waitlist, or decline
