PhD in Cognitive Science
Informational Webinars
The Cognitive Science Department at Johns Hopkins University is recruiting motivated students who are interested in pursuing a PhD in Cognitive Science. Our program provides a unique opportunity to tackle questions about the mind and brain in a theoretically-motivated, interdisciplinary environment that has a number of foci, including language, visual cognition, psycholinguistics, cognitive neuropsychology, and a new track in Computational Cognitive Science at the intersection of these disciplines. Our department is committed to diversity and inclusion, and we strongly encourage applications from members of underrepresented groups. More information about our faculty, labs, and research areas can be found on our website. PhD students receive five years of funding which includes full tuition, health insurance, and a competitive 12-month stipend. The application deadline is December 1, 2020.
Prospective students are encouraged to attend an informational webinar on the PhD program and application process on Friday October 30th noon-1pm EDT, and Monday November 2nd 3:30-4:30 EST. Sign up here to receive more details.
Our current graduate students are also providing one-on-one mentoring about the application process, with priority given to prospective students from underrepresented groups. To participate, please fill out this form.
Visit our admissions page for details and instructions on how to apply. For general questions about the application process, email me - Sarah Ciotola (sciotol3@jhu.edu).
