Engaged in Social Change Work? Share your story at the Voices of Social Change ACTnow Event!

Voices of Social Change invites engaging storytellers to share their experiences as active leaders in the local community. The purpose of the program is to honor the social change work of these leaders, to connect people and resources, and to inspire people to engage in social change. In partnership with The Clarice, Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and The Graduate School we present the most recent performance in the Arts Citizens Talks (ACTnow) series, On Being Mixed Race. Ahamefule J. Oluo is an award-winning musician, composer, writer and stand-up comic. His sister, Ijeoma Oluo, is a New York Times bestselling author and acclaimed public speaker. As black-identifying, multi-racial siblings raised in Seattle by a white single mother, the siblings’ lives and careers have straddled racial lines and artistic genres--exploring the nuances of race, culture and how we treat each-other.
