Part-Time Research Assistant Positions
Overview:
The Center for Early Childhood Education and Intervention at the University of Maryland College Park (UMD), is seeking part-time, hourly research assistants (RAs) to work on a project to evaluate the efficacy of the Children Study Their World (CSW) pre-k curriculum. RAs would be part of a busy and thriving research-to-practice team at UMD. This position is ideal for young professionals or current students wanting to work with children and teachers and/or seeking to attend graduate school at a later point.

The RA duties for this position are primarily related to data collection for the evaluation of the curriculum. Specifically, RAs will administer a series of assessments to pre-k students, conduct classroom observations, and complete data entry. Although the project is housed at UMD, College Park, data collection occurs in Head Start classrooms in and around Baltimore City. Given that the data collection occurs in different schools, ideally, candidates will have access to a car. Carpooling is a possibility. Mandatory training takes place in September and October.
