Doctoral Students in the UMD Counseling Psychology Department are currently seeking undergraduate students to serve as RAs. This opportunity will allow undergraduate RAs to become co-authors on two manuscripts.
The current studies are focusing on gendered racial socialization (what messages Asian American women and men receive about the intersections of their race and gender). The researchers are in the process of collecting qualitative, semi-structured interviews. The researchers would meet either weekly or bi-weekly over the next year and students will be co-authors on the manuscripts. This would be great experience for anyone who is interested in getting involved in research and for mentorship. Duties would involve transcription of interviews, data cleaning and coding, and writing parts of the manuscript. The GPA requirement is at least 3.0. Please contact hrahn@umd.edu and/or tbkeum@umd.edu if interested.
