Humanim is a leading non-profit organization, specializing in human services. We annually serve over 4,500 individuals and are committed to providing uncompromising services to those in need. We are seeking full time Rehabilitation Counselors in our Behavioral Health Residential Department.
This is an entry level position which provides individualized teaching, training, and support needed to adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses to help them increase their independence in the community. Rehabilitation counselors will work with clients in their home and throughout the community to provide life skills training and services. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the field of mental health with opportunities for advancement.
Qualified candidates should be energetic, patient, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment, and highly developed organizational and time management skills.
Bachelors' degree in psychology/related field or 2 years relevant Mental Health experience preferred. High School Diploma and a valid MD driver's license and personal vehicle are required. Hired staff must be available to complete all trainings (in person and online) during length of employment.
