Avian Behavioral Neuroscience Lab 


Description:
A major focus of the Avian Behavioral Neuroscience lab is to study how birds perceive their songs
and how their abilities compare to human language capacities. Adam Fishbein, a doctoral student in the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science (NACS) program, is developing new techniques to answer these questions, including the use of touchscreens controlled by Raspberry Pi computing devices. He needs help from a motivated student interested in both animal cognition and computer programming to answer cutting edge questions about the cognitive abilities of birds.
